Home WEAR 2009 Registration More info Photo Gallery Video Gallery Press Releases		Worldwide Escape Artist Relay 2009 On Saturday, October 24, 2009, escape artists around the world will participate in the third Worldwide Escape Artist Relay, the largest coordinated performance by escape artists in history. The Worldwide Escape Artist Relay will circle the globe as escape artists around the world perform a variety of thrilling escapes. Each performer will document his or her performance as it takes place. The participants in the Worldwide Escape Artist Relay, men and women, young and old, novices and seasoned pros emerging from retirement, will unite to restore the Art of Escape to its rightful place in the public imagination! The first Worldwide Escape Artist Relay was held on October 29, 2005. Over fifty escape artists around the world participated in the historic event, escaping from handcuffs, straitjackets, chains, steel drums filled with water, steel boxes, packing crates, and the notorious Water Torture Cell before a collective audience of thousands. The second Worldwide Escape Artist Relay was held on October 27, 2007. Over one hundred escape artists participated, and new records were set. WEAR 2009 will easily exceed the scale of the previous two events.

Registration. Escape artists interested in participating in the Worldwide Escape Artist Relay 2009 should register their interest via email to Dr. Wilson, sending the following information:

As participants register, they will be listed on the WEAR 2009 Registration Page. The content of all web pages associated with WEAR 2009 on the I.B.M. Ring 362 site may be mirrored by any participant's web site without further permission. All press releases, photographs, and other images may be freely used by any participant or media organization without further permission.

Records. Participants in WEAR 2009 are encouraged to set or break new records, and can register their records with Record Holders Republic. Please check with Record Holders Republic well in advance of your event to see the requirements for setting a record. Performers in the USA who wish to work with RHR should contact Thomas Blacke, the VP/US for RHR.
