The calendar of Ring 362 meetings is posted here. There is also a calendar of other events.

Regular Club Meetings

Meetings will generally be held on the third Sunday of each month, although meetings are often moved from that day to avoid holidays or competing magic events, like conventions. Meeting notices will be sent by mail and email to all members.

Themes: All members and guests are welcome to perform at each meeting. Each meeting will have a theme for the performance segment. One person will be designated as the emcee (this person may also perform). All performers will give to the emcee:

  • Name
  • Title of their presentation
  • whether or not their presentation fits the theme
The emcee will attempt to group the performers following the theme. Performers following the theme will generally perform first.

Members are encouraged to share their favorite ideas for themes with the officers. Please see the web page on themes.

Special events: Special events at regular meetings include, but are not limited to, official club business (elections, installation of officers, etc.), lectures, drawings, auctions, raffles and contests.

9/18/2011   Contest   Nate Leipzig Close-up Magic Contest, 49 Franklin, Rumford, ME. I.B.M. Ring 362 will hold the Nate Leipzig Close-up Magic Contest on Sunday, September 18, at 4:00 pm at 49 Franklin Street in Rumford, Maine. The show is open to the public with a ticket price of $6 for all. The doors open at 3:30 pm for a 4:00 pm curtain. Please see the complete rules for the Nate Leipzig Close-up Magic Contest. 10/22/2011   Worldwide Event   Worldwide Escape Artist Relay 2011, worldwide. On Saturday, October 22, 2011, escape artists around the world will participate in the fourth Worldwide Escape Artist Relay, the largest coordinated performance by escape artists in history. The Worldwide Escape Artist Relay will circle the globe as escape artists around the world perform a variety of thrilling escapes. Each performer will documented his or her performance as it takes place. The participants in the Worldwide Escape Artist Relay, men and women, young and old, novices and seasoned pros emerging from retirement, will unite to restore the Art of Escape to its rightful place in the public imagination!
10/22/2011   Public Show   Bo-Dean Jimmy-Don Baker's Magic Hoedown & Thrill Show, 49 Franklin, Rumford, ME. I.B.M. Ring 362 will participate in the Worldwide Escape Artist Relay by staging Bo-Dean Jimmy-Don Baker's Magic Hoedown & Thrill Show on Saturday, October 22, 2011, at 6:30 pm at the Mystic Theater at 49 Franklin Street in Rumford, Maine. Bo-Dean Jimmy-Don and his friends will present some of his favorite magic. Bo-Dean Jimmy-Don, Scot Grassette, and Dr. Wilson will perform thrilling escapes. Doors open at 5:00 pm for a menu of Pulled Pork Sandwich, Wings, and Fried Green Beans. Admission is $8.
