The calendar of Ring 362 meetings is posted here. There is also a calendar of other events.

Please see the calendars for 2006, 2007 and 2008.

Regular Club Meetings

Meetings will generally be held on the third Sunday of each month, although meetings are often moved from that day to avoid holidays or competing magic events, like conventions. Meeting notices will be sent by mail and email to all members.

Themes: All members and guests are welcome to perform at each meeting. Each meeting will have a theme for the performance segment. One person will be designated as the emcee (this person may also perform). All performers will give to the emcee:

  • Name
  • Title of their presentation
  • whether or not their presentation fits the theme
The emcee will attempt to group the performers following the theme. Performers following the theme will generally perform first.

Members are encouraged to share their favorite ideas for themes with the officers. Please see the web page on themes.

Special events: Special events at regular meetings include, but are not limited to, official club business (elections, installation of officers, etc.), lectures, drawings, auctions, raffles and contests.

2/8/2009   S.A.M. Meeting   Ralph Greenwood Assembly 174, 5:00 pm, Portland, ME. The February meeting of S.A.M. 3/14/2009   Convention   NEMCON, New England Magic Conference, Crowne Plaza Hotel, Cromwell, CT. Sponsored by Tom Prete Assembly #127, NEMCON is New England's oldest and longest-running Magic Convention. It takes place from 8:30 a.m.-midnight on Saturday, March 14, 2009, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, and features great talent, a great dealer room, friendly folks & fantastic dealers. 5/17/2009   Contest   Chung Ling Soo Stage Magic Competition, Alamo Theatre, Bucksport, ME. I.B.M. Ring 362 holds its third annual Stage Magic Contest at the historic Alamo Theatre in Bucksport. The show is open to the public with a ticket price of $5. The doors open at 6:30 pm for a 7:00 pm curtain. Please see the complete rules for the Chung Ling Soo Stage Magic Competition. 10/24/2009   Public Event   The Worldwide Escape Artist Relay 2009 sweeps the world! I.B.M. Ring 362 has offered space on its web site to coordinate the event and document the participation of escape artists.
11/14/2009   Convention   The SAMCON 2009 is New England's premier one-day magic convention. SAMCON is presented by the members of SAM Assembly 104 Saturday November 14 in Peabody Massachusetts just 20 miles north of Boston. This year's performers and lecturers are Jeff McBride, General Grant and Scott Francis. There will be 8 dealers from around the northeast. The day will close with a gala show MC'ed by BB Widdop. Registration is $60 before October 1 and $70 after. Register now for best seats. Jeff McBride will be presenting his workshop on Sunday November 15 for a limited number of participants so register now if you wish to receive personal instruction from this world renowned expert. The cost is only $125 for the 4 hour class.

12/05/2009   Public Show   The Magic of Christmas. I.B.M. Ring 362 presents The Magic of Christmas, a special holiday show at the Alamo Theatre in Bucksport, Maine, at 2:00 pm. Magicians Danny Baker, Professor Miller, Alex Turnaski, and Dr. Wilson will appear, together with hoop dancer Kurai Sennyo. The show will climax with the magical appearance of Santa Claus! General admission is $8 for all ages; doors open at 1:30 pm.
