Chung Ling Soo Stage Magic Competition


The third annual Chung Ling Soo Stage Magic Competition will be held on May 17, 2009, at 7:00 pm at the Alamo Theatre in Bucksport, Maine.

The Chung Ling Soo Stage Magic Competition is open to all members of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, who need not be members of Ring 362. Contestants have up to ten minutes to perform stage magic. Performers may communicate through gesture, movement, or pantomime. Performers shall not speak, use narration (either recorded or spoken by another individual), or communicate through writing during their performance. Any speech or other attempt to use verbal language (narration or writing) during a performance shall disqualify that contestant. Contestants

The order of performance of the contestants was determined by casting of the I Ching. Performers were ordered from first to last using the number of the first hexagram. The performer with the lowest numbered first hexagram will perform first.
