Nate Leipzig Close-up Magic Contest Sunday, September 18, 2011
I.B.M. Ring 362 will hold the 2011
Nate Leipzig Close-up Magic Contest on Sunday, September 18, at 4:00 pm at
49 Franklin in Rumford, Maine's Capital of Magic.
Contestants will have ten minutes to perform close-up magic before moving to the next station.
It is anticipated that contestants will perform their close-up acts for four or more groups, so effects
that reset quickly are necessary.
Contestants must be members of the International Brotherhood of
Magicians and of Ring 362. Contestants who are not current members of I.B.M. Ring 362 can join on
the spot for $10. We also welcome applicants to the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Contact
Contest Official
Scot Grassette (207-369-0129) for more information.
Contestants are asked to register with
Scot Grassette at least a week in advance, that is, by Sunday, September 11.
There are currently six contestants registered. Any additional contestants will be registered as alternates.
Contestants are reminded that due to the fire laws in the state of Maine, absolutely no fire of any kind will be allowed in performance.
Any use of fire will result in immediate disqualification.
