RING 362 HOLDS FIRST ANNUAL BANQUET
The first Annual Banquet for Ring 362 was held at The Muddy Rudder in Brewer, Maine. Territorial Vice President Bob Nixon conducted the Installation of Officers Ceremony, installing Danny Baker (President), Carroll Chapman (Vice President), Paul Szauter (Secretary), Randy Von Smith (Treasurer), and Geoffrey Miller (Sergeant At Arms). Once the officers were installed, President Danny Baker conducted the ceremonial induction of new members. New members of the International Brotherhood of Magicians since January 2006 (when the Ring held its organizational meeting) attending the ceremony were Carroll Chapman, Scot Grassette, Geoffrey Miller, Dayton Salisbury, Aubrey Smith, and Kevin Roberge.
Following the ceremonies, Brother Don Paul entertained the crowd with his psychic abilities. He caused some of The Muddy Rudder's silverware to bend using the power of his mind, divined the identity of three fairly-selected playing cards, and then staged a beautiful presentation of "Dinner with the Borgias." Four of the guests at Brother Don's deadly table selected poisoned chalices, laughing in the face of Death, while he alone had a wholesome and refreshing drink surrounded by the doomed.
The Ring's other members performed closeup magic at their tables to entertain their companions, and later dispersed into the restaurant, dispensing wonder to the people for the price of a smile. Additional photos are available on the Ring's web site (www.ibmring362.org).
