Our April meeting will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2007, at 3:00 pm at the
Hotel Harris in Rumford, Maine ("Maine's Capital of Magic").
Here are directions to the
Hotel Harris.
The theme of the meeting is Card Manipulation.
Members wishing to perform within the theme should enter the
Dr. James William Elliott Card Challenge.
The Elliott Card Challenge is a test of skill at card manipulation under difficult conditions.
Ring members or guests (who must be members of the I.B.M. if they wish to compete) who would like to enter the competition should contact the
Secretary. There is no registration fee.

The competition and other magic will be open to the general public in Rumford.
Members and guests are encouraged to wear formal or performance attire in order to represent the International Brotherhood of Magicians in the best possible light.
Members not entering the competition are free to perform other magic if time allows.
In the interest of presenting diverse magic to the public, members not entering the competition who wish to perform magic should avoid effects with cards.
We will hold a brief business meeting following the performances. Please see the
agenda for this meeting. Dinner will be available at the
Hotel Harris, and presents an excellent opportunity for fellowship.
Scot Grassette has invited members to his home at 49 Franklin Street prior to the Elliott Card Challenge.
All are invited to see the progress on the theater that Scott is building in his home.
Meet at 11:00 am at 49 Frankin Street.
We will be moving over to the Hotel Harris around 1:00 pm to set up the room.

From the North:
I-95 S. to Fairfield Exit
Route 2 into Rumford
At the light, go straight up Lincoln Ave to top of hill
Take a left onto Franklin St
Go to 49 Franklin St White Church on the right
From the South:
From I-95 N.
Take Exit 75 into Auburn
Take a left onto Route 4
Follow Route 4 to Route 108 into Rumford
Go past mill and over the Canal bridge to traffic light
Go over Morse Bridge
Take an immediate right onto Route 2
Veer left onto Franklin St. toward Hospital
49 Franklin St. is on the left
