Easy Come, Easy Go

 Our July meeting will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2007, at 3:00 pm at the Friars' Bakehouse in Bangor, Maine. Here are directions to the Friars' Bakehouse. The theme of the meeting is Easy Come, Easy Go (Productions and Vanishes). Productions and Vanishes are key to many well-structured magic routines, whether the performances are designed for close-up, parlor or stage. From producing and vanishing a coin to producing and vanishing an elephant, these effects delight audiences with the magician's fundamental violation of the laws of nature. This theme unites performances using sleight of hand, small apparatus, and stage illusions, presenting every member with the opportunity to use something from their current effects. The evening will begin with magic. Members performing magic that conforms to the theme of Easy Come, Easy Go will perform first, followed by performances of other magical effects.
