Election of 2008 Ring Officers


October 1, 2007. The election of Ring Officers will be held at the January 2008 Ring meeting, with prior balloting by mail. The Nominating Committee (Brother Don Paul, Carroll Chapman, Bryan-Keith Taylor) compiled a list of candidates. The list of candidates submitted by the Nominating Committee is:

  • President - Danny Baker
  • Vice President - Carroll Chapman, Geoffrey Miller
  • Secretary - Paul Szauter
  • Treasurer - Randy Von Smith
  • Sergeant At Arms - Matt Bennage, Kevin Roberge

Nominations closed on October 1, 2007.

The Balloting Committee for the 2008 elections was appointed on October 1, 2007. The members of the Balloting Committee are:

  1. Paul Szauter, the Secretary, who is responsible for preparing and mailing ballots to all Ring members, and for receiving and securing mailed-in ballots prior to the January meeting
  2. Randy Von Smith, the Treasurer, who is responsible for verifying that each member wishing to vote has paid both Ring and International I.B.M. dues
  3. Brother Don Paul, who was nominated by the President and approved by the Board as a third member

October 15, 2007. On October 15, Kevin Roberge withdrew his name as a candidate for Sergent At Arms. The candidates are therefore:

  • President - Danny Baker
  • Vice President - Carroll Chapman, Geoffrey Miller
  • Secretary - Paul Szauter
  • Treasurer - Randy Von Smith
  • Sergeant At Arms - Matt Bennage

October 26, 2007. On October 26, Carroll Chapman withdrew his name as a candidate for Vice President. The candidates are therefore:

  • President - Danny Baker
  • Vice President - Geoffrey Miller
  • Secretary - Paul Szauter
  • Treasurer - Randy Von Smith
  • Sergeant At Arms - Matt Bennage

As all offices are now uncontested, there will be no balloting. The new officers for 2008 will assume office following the January 2008 Ring meeting on January 20, 2008.
