Treasurer's Reports 2006(Please see also Treasurer's Reports 2006 and 2007.)The Treasurer's Reports for 2006, extracted from the Minutes, are presented here. March 19, 2006. The Treasury had collected $115 in member dues and $5 for a magician's ad on the Ring web site. Expenses so far have been $50.85 for the Ring web site, for one year's worth of web site hosting and two year's worth of domain name registration. April 23, 2006. There is approximately $71 in the treasury, $40 in an endowment to purchase a plaque for the Ring Name history, and $5 remaining in the Dr. James William Elliott endowment. Upcoming expenses include approximately $40 to incorporate as a nonprofit and unknown expenses leading to the public show on the Fourth of July. |
May 21, 2006. Treasurer Randy Von Smith reported that the situation is largely unchanged from last month, with no money in and no money out. Randy also reported that incorporation papers would be filed before the July 4 show.
June 18, 2006. Treasurer Randy Von Smith reported that the Ring's Treasury has a negative balance, with money owed to the Secretary and Treasurer for the costs of postage and incorporation, and to other members for various small costs. The balance is on the order of -$20.00.
July 16, 2006. Treasurer Randy Von Smith reported income of $800 from the All-Star Magical Revue, and reimbursed some members for expenses incurred in the conduct of Ring business. He did not have exact figures available, but reported that the Ring Treasury is now firmly in positive territory.
August 20, 2006. Treasurer Randy Von Smith reported that the Ring's new bank account has a balance of $800 from the All-Star Magical Revue, and that there is approximately $200 in petty cash. He reported that the bank account has a service charge of $5/month, and that the first set of checks cost $13.30.
September 16, 2006. The Secretary reported on behalf of the Treasurer that the Ring's new bank account has a balance of $780, and that there is $128 in petty cash. Recent expenses include the first set of checks ($13.30), a monthly bank fee of $5, postage and the Ring's fees for incorporation.
October 15, 2006. Treasurer Randy Von Smith reported that the Ring's bank account has a balance of $781, and that there is $62 in petty cash. These funds include two endowments: $40 to purchase a plaque listing the Ring's annual descriptive name, and $10 in the Dr. James William Elliott Card Challenge endowment. The Treasurer's report was approved without amendment.
November 12, 2006. The Secretary reported on behalf of Treasurer Randy Von Smith that the Ring's bank account has a balance of $776, and that there is $62 in petty cash plus approximately $100 in recently paid dues and an anonymous donation. These funds include two endowments: $40 to purchase a plaque listing the Ring's annual descriptive name, and $10 in the Dr. James William Elliott Card Challenge endowment. The Treasurer's report was approved without amendment.
